Plenty of Greenpeace offices are launching their P4 sites, and the product must support those deployments, giving priority to custom P4 versions (the awesome right-to-left Arabic alphabet needed special attentions), improvements to the Post_Type wrapper or fixing bugs users are reporting (keep them coming, please!).

“Post Type” pages / wrappers improvements ?

  • PLANET 2820 –Author Override does not match  (bug fix!)
    • When Editors used the “Author Override” function, this was working in the Post itself, but the recently released “Post Type” pages were pulling out the Editors’ names, rather than the Authors… not anymore
  • PLANET 2886 –Show default post thumbnail for missing post image on Page type page
    • If posts are missing a Featured Image (aka Thumbnail), the  “Post Type” pages will pull out a standard pixel image, which is not visible to your eyes, but makes posts look aligned and nice (this is the image, btw).

Bugs and fixes ?

  • PLANET 2573 –Post: Take Action card issue (bug fix!)
    • Firefox didn’t like out Take Action Cards embedded in posts, they follow through if users scroll down now..
  • PLANET 2739 – Fix Carousel Controller for php7.2 (bug fix!)
    • Elements of our Block: Carousel were conflicting with the latest PHP version we use, all good now, you can pull out all sort of images.
  • PLANET 2776 – Sound player prevents from scrolling  (bug fix!)
    • The sound player (an .mp3 audio file in the Luxembourg reported case) was stuck at the top of the page and prevented the consumption of the rest of the page. Audio is important, but should allow content to complete it as well.. All good now (and thanks Anais for spotting the bug!)
  • PLANET 2874 – Blocks: design broken in the backend  (bug fix!)
    • All the blocks looked broken in the edit mode of pages, this was not affecting the front end but the interface looks broken and changed the webbie user experience. All good now, they are back to regular display mode.
