We often have guest bloggers or authors who create content for us. the Author Override feature is great, but it would be even better if we could include a thumbnail image and ‘About the Author’ block like we have for registered authors.
Bonus points if we could include links to their social media accounts or websites.
Note. This would help us to promote user-generated content on the website.

Hey Kara. I think this already exists...? User roles are not limited to GP staff. You can create one for any email address. There are different roles, like Contributor, that will allow users to create content but not publish - they submit it for review and an Admin or an Editor(?) decides if it goes live. Here you can see the different User Roles: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1B7abxr1N6XLWrSAsd72-LJh-Xc_PSXpyngXZutK0Ex8/edit?gid=0#gid=0 Users can customise their own profiles to include Social handles. HTML must be used though to make the links clickable, there is no WYSIWYG in the Biographical Info field. If the User has a Google Email address their image will auto-populate based on their Google Profile, if not they can use Gravatar to customise it. Alternatively, you can create non-user roles for anyone using Gravatar to upload an image on their behalf. https://planet4.greenpeace.org/manage/administer/profile/#editing-an-avatar-for-someone-else/ Shoot me a DM if you want more info or examples. :)
