v2.141 | Filters on News and Stories, Migrate Split Two Columns Block and More!

Category filters have arrived for News and Stories! Users can select content type, topic and/or date to easily find what they’re looking for. Other updates in v2.141 include removing plain text email addresses from dataLayer in Formsubmission events, updates to NodeJS and a migration of the Split Two Columns Block to existing content. PLANET-7614 News & Stories: implement categories filter

A filter for the News & stories pages have been implemented at the top of those pages, that would show only matching posts.

By default, the filter is set on “all topics”

PLANET-7567 Remove plain text email address from dataLayer in formSubmission event

This is a follow up from PLANET-7547 (Generate an email hash on formSubmission events and set it in dataLayer/Cookie). It removes the plain text email address from the dataLayer event in email addresses.

PLANET-7530 Update Node.js to ≤18

As a part of the latest WordPress release (6.5.*), NodeJS versions less than 18 will not continue to be supported. So it’s time to update!

PLANET-7445 Migrate Split Two Columns block existing content

The Split Two Columns Block was already disabled when the “New IA” feature flag has been enabled on P4 sites. However: In order to properly retire the Block completely, there is a need to migrate existing content to something else using existing Blocks.

In short: The Block will be migrate to two Columns. The left column will match the left side and the right column will match the right side. Images, Heading, Paragraphs, Links, will all move accordingly.
