As the year comes to a close, we’ve been busy making some great updates! We’ve introduced some “Oldies But Goodies” opt-in, removed the Twitter/X option, added Bluesky to the footer social media menu, migrated Campaign Covers to the P4 Columns block, and fixed plenty of bugs!

PLANET-7948 Add an opt-in Archive notice on old Posts

Inspired by GP Australia Pacific’s “Oldies But Goodies Alert”, let’s add a similar touch to older posts. A gentle reminder can let users know the content might be a bit dated, while still keeping it available for those who find it useful.

PLANET-7523 Social Media block: Remove Twitter/X option and rename to Meta block

Since WordPress already offers a Twitter/X embed block, we’d like to streamline our custom P4 Social Media block by focusing only on Facebook and Instagram. To reflect this change, we’ll rename it the ‘Meta Block’ for a more fitting and user-friendly update!

PLANET-7679 Add Bluesky icon for footer social media

With more NROs hopping on Bluesky, we can make staying connected simple by adding a cool Bluesky icon to the footer social menu!

PLANET-7489 Migrate Campaign Covers to P4 Columns block

The Campaign style of the Covers block won’t be replicated in the new Query Loop blocks since it doesn’t fit the new IA and isn’t a true posts loop. As we retire it, we’ll migrate existing content to the Image style of the P4 Columns block, which works well without extra CSS tweaks (like hiding image credits).
