Good morning! It’s been quite the few weeks already; migration from the Covers Content Block to the new Posts List Block, a default Favicon for everyone and updated Social Sharing Options. There was an interesting conversation on that last point, so let’s see how that’s been followed up:

PLANET-7681 Make existing social share buttons configurable

From the social settings page, admins can select to hide one (or more) of the existing social sharing options, for Posts and Gravity Forms confirmations. These checkboxes include WhatsApp, Facebook, X and Email.

Note: There has been a conversation about this in #p4-general. A follow up ticket (PLANET-7755) to refine the implementation has been opened.

PLANET-7647 Enforce consistency on default favicon

To avoid inconsistencies, the option to upload your own site icon (favicon) has been removed. A hardcoded favicon was already in place but admins could choose to replace it. From now on, to make sure there’s no confusion, the default icon will be used on all P4 sites.

PLANET-7578 Migrate Covers Content block to Posts List block

A big one! The content from the Cover Blocks has been replaced by the Posts List Blocks. The original layout (grid or carousel) has been preserved during this migration, as well as several different elements (such as h2 heading, descriptions, tags, …).

The Posts List Block is now available on all Planet 4 sites 🥳
