While in the previous release we launched Campaign styled content in the Search results, in this release we are adding a label to the P3 archived content in the Search results.

Also, the authors sharing button is now fixed and when shared on social media it displays the bio, a couple of design fixes for the Campaign Generator and the MeetUp embed is working properly, both in Posts and Pages.

Design and UX Improvements 🎩

  • PLANET-4432 – Search results: Add label to P3 Archives and Campaign pages
    • Label to P3 Archived content has been added to the Search results.

P4 Campaign Generator (P4CG) 

  • PLANET-4417 – CPP – Columns block – Icons style – Plastics template – Remove background image
    • The Plastics template of the Campaign Page Customizer had a background image when using the Columns block -> Icons style. This image has been removed because it was not consistent with other templates.
  • PLANET-4401 – CPP – Disable Take action and Split block
    • The Covers block / Take Action style and Covers block / Campaigns style in the Campaigns content type have been disabled, since they become available again after Gutenberg migration. Also, the Split block in Campaigns content type was as well disabled.
  • PLANET-4465 – CPP – Columns block – Icons style – Oil template – Change icon background to red
    • Same color values for the background color of the Icons as the red background color of the Columns – Tasks block were introduced
  • PLANET-4466 – CPP – Oil and Climate Emergency templates: Remove B&W filters from
    • There were some blocks in the Oil and the Climate emergency campaign templates that had a black and white image filter applied. While it was looking okay, it was limiting editor’s choices. If they want to use a black and white image, they will upload it as needed. Hence, the B&W image filters from the Gallery and Articles blocks in the Oil and Climate templates was removed.
  • PLANET-4467 – CPP – All templates: Remove campaign formatting from Gallery – 3 columns blocks
    • All color backgrounds from behind the images across all templates and all extra shapes and different vertical etc inner borders from between the images were removed.
  • PLANET-4470 – CPP – Oil and Climate Emergency template: Gallery – Slider indicator should be red
    • The color of the slider indicator (which was green) was changed to red to match the color of the gallery background. It was changed on both Oil and Climate Emergency campaign templates.
  • PLANET-4504 – CPP – Columns block – Tasks style alignment to left on all templates
    • Icons, column description and buttons for the Columns block – Task style have all been aligned to the left because there was a small inconsistency.

Bug Fixes 🐛

  • PLANET-4447 – P4 Denmark: on all EN forms after sign up, in the thank you EN block the share on Twitter button does not appear
    • The Twitter image was not showing up in the EN form after sign up
  • PLANET-4471 – EN form block: Rename fields
    • When there was a donation url different than the default one – after sign up in EN block, the user gets redirected straightaway to the given address without seeing the thank you block with social share buttons; the thank you block after sign up was visible only if there is no specified url in the form, so it uses the default path for the monthly donation.
    • We made sure the URL field should only be filled in case the user wants to redirect to a different thank you page.
  • PLANET-4264 – Meetup embed not working in posts
    • The meetup embed was not functioning properly. There was a lot of html before the actual embed. This was only happening in the front end and only for posts, in the back end it looked alright.
  • PLANET-4431 – EN form block css is off
    • The CSS is off, things were not aligned properly or just didn’t look right. The header copy was the wrong color.
  • PLANET-4113 – Authors share buttons are broken
    • Authors share buttons (Twitter, Email) are having the following issues:

1. When sharing on FB, it is currently picking up the excerpt from first post from Author, instead of Bio
2. When sharing on twitter, it is not picking up the name, and it shuld say via @ [NRO name] 

  • PLANET-4251 – Gallery Block – Not able to remove images individually within the block editor
    • Editors could not change the order of the images in the slide show. An option to remove each image from block has been added.

  • PLANET-4427 – Investigate building assets on CI
    • Rethink the way we build assets and investigate the option of integrating that to the CI. In light of recent discussions we may drop the requirement for including the minified files on the released packages.
