Implementation ticket PLANET-6438
RECAP from Community feedback: Generally perceived as a nice to have, not a must. We feel this would be useful to big offices with a large pool of authors / contributors. Most NROs currently coordinate with G-Docs pre-publishing workflow, which work fine for now

P4 tech team gut-feeling recommendation → Sending emails to site admins when a post is submitted for review is overall low complexity. We may even scout for plugins like this one, for ex. Depending on how much we need to customize the plugin, complexity may rise.
Notes: Nice to have, perhaps if mega low complexity we can invest some time in exploring / doing it? Plus, the “pending review” helps already a lot on this. Not a must for anyone.
Q: Perhaps insert a field to send an email to the person who has to proofread? |
||
Decision
The P4 team will investigate (if there’s a good (minimal) plugin that (only) does this, try that, otherwise contribution?) – but keep it minimal. Slack notifications will be considered as well. |
