Good morning and Happy Yoga Day! There’s been loads of upgrades to Form Building, an update to ElasticPress, bug fixes but by far the coolest news is the arrival of the new Design Lead for Planet 4 : Welcome Carolina Romo Angulo (she/her)!!

Features  🛠

PLANET-7154 – Form Builder: duplicate Feeds on form duplication

  • In the past, when duplicating a Form the settings wouldn’t copy over. That is no longer the case: When duplicating a form, all feeds settings will transfer over.

PLANET-7148 – Form Builder: Enforce data retention policy

  • In order to minimize personal data storage in P4 database, certain retention period rules and encourage admins to either export data or integrate with other systems (eg. Hubspot).
    • Find Retention Policy options under Form Settings > Personal Data by default.
    • Recommended number of days to use a retention value: 90.

PLANET-7147 – Form Builder: Enable integration with native export tool

  • In order to comply with any future personal data requests, the integration with the native WP export tool has been enabled by default. (This feature is provided already by default in Gravity Forms.)
    • Find the relevant feature under Form Settings > Personal Data by default.

PLANET-7146 – Form Builder: Disable IP address retention during submission

  • In order to minimize personal data footprint, IP address anonymisation has been enabled by default. A feature that provided already by default in Gravity Forms.
    • Find the relevant feature under Form Settings > Personal Data by default.

PLANET-6235 – Upgrade ElasticPress to 4.5.x

  • After some investigation to check if any changes would break ElasticPress, the plugin has been upgraded to version 4.5.x in order to take advantage of new improvements.

PLANET-7156 – Strings in Gravity forms not translated

  • And now they translate, oui oui!
