An option to open Actions in new tabs, automations for importing external landing pages, bug fixes and more! And additionally: some improvements on how to giving feedback on the Handbook. Allons-y!

PLANET-8024 Optimize Database Queries: News & Stories

Just like we did during the previous Sprint for Navigation Menus: A look and investigation into what’s happening behind the scenes of the News & Stories Page. Identifying the most time-consuming database queries, as well as queries repeatedly triggered by the same source and make it faster where possible.

PLANET-8226 Take Action Boxout: add option for opening Actions in a new tab

Following up on a Community conversation that took place in the #p4-general Slack channel: Previously, the “Open in a new tab” setting was available only when “None (Custom)” was selected in the “Select Take Action Page” option. That has been changed, and the “Open in a new tab” setting is now available when an Action page is selected.

PLANET-8189 Actions: implement automation for importing external landing pages with redirection

Following up on Hubspot pages under P4 Domain and Path: Those pages will now appear as Actions. This will allow them to appear in the in-site search results and the Actions List block.

The previous manual workflow (where editors needed to create an Action and then set up a custom redirection to Hubspot) is now automated. All editors need to do is input the external URL. More info can be found here.

Handbook Updates 📚

We want to hear from YOU! On every page and post in the P4 Handbook, there is now a small section at the bottom that asks “Was this helpful?“, with yes or no options. You can also add a few more words to explain your choice before submitting (but that is optional).
