With efforts allocated to implementations, bugs and some UX improvements, sprint #69 went super fast. The team had to support the (magnificent) Japanese writing system, do some work around mobile screens, search results and user profiles.

Release v1.36 (11/12/2018)

  • PLANET 3001 – Change font on Japan’s site 
    • Fonts of the upcoming Japanese version of P4 were not behaving consistently. We had to apply some small font changes to make P4 shine in this beautiful writing system.
  • PLANET 3004 – Japan excerpt showing all content of post by default (bug fix!)

     

    • Why the Excerpt field of Japanese posts were getting populated by  the whole content of the post? Unclear. The important is that they don’t anymore..

Search improvements ?

  • PLANET 2579 – Search bar: apply adjusted design (Design improvement!)
    • Search bar on responsive versions has been changed and harmonised with the P4 colour palette and latest UX practices (e.g. an “X” to close the command)

  • PLANET 2747 – Search: Load More button (bug fix!)
    • Something broke in one of the previous releases, making the “Load More” command in Search results pages to show ellipsis […] rather than the full command. All good now.

User profile improvements ??‍♀️

  • PLANET 2857  and PLANET 2858 – User Profile: HTML not appearing correctly on mobile devices (M,S) and on Posts (bug fixes!)
    • HTML in author bios (See>> Edit your P4 / WordPress profile) was getting broken on mobile screens and not rendered correctly in Posts. All good now, Author profiles get pulled out nicely in all screens

Mobile screens / responsive versions improvements ?

  • PLANET 2922 – HP carousel – Put the main CTA above page controller (UX Improvement!)

     

    • UX improvement to our Block: Carousel for mobile screens. The Call To Action (CTA) was getting cut, not anymore!
The new Home Page Carousel CTA (Call To Action) button, moved right above the page controller (bullet points) on the mobile version.
  • PLANET 2968 – Happy point: cut on M and S screens  (bug fix!)

     

Other bug fixes ?

  • PLANET 2941 – Articles block: load more button displays same result twice (bug fix!)
    • The “Load More” command of the Block: Articles was behaving weirdly, pulling out the same results and creating confusion. Not anymore..
