After the successful go live of Greenpeace Brasil, the efforts to make the new Information Architecture available to everyone continue. The Form Builder epic is also speeding up, with an upcoming community call and Gravity Form documentation.

Features  🔧

  • PLANET-6638 – Create “Issues” block pattern
    • This very versatile pre-set pattern helps you to connect icons and texts with a Call To Action to facilitate access to sub-topics, check out how to use it

  • PLANET-6553 – Install and make Gravity Forms available for all offices
    • As part of the “form builder” project, we installed the Gravity Forms plugin (and its “quiz” add-on) in all sites. Documentation is coming soon
Gravity Forms and its “quiz'” add-on are now available in Admin > Plugins
  • PLANET-6652 – Rewrite Search filters to follow native taxonomies
    • Search filters have been simplified to better support the new Information Architecture. For the future, the idea is to have them look like:
      • “Categories” (actual categories)
      • “Tags” (actual tags) leave out for now
      • “Post Types” (eg. Stories, Publications, etc)
      • “Action Types” (eg. Petition, Event)
      • “Content Types” (WP post types. eg. pages, posts, actions, archive, document, etc)

⚠️ make sure to translate the strings applicable to search results in this same Handbook! ⚠️

  • PLANET-6727 – Search results: UI enhancements on posts results
    • Some cosmetic alignments on how Posts look like in search results.
  • PLANET-6747 – Posts: show category on breadcrumbs 🔑
    • As this feature is related to the new information Architecture setup, it is not enabled by default
    • In Planet 4 > Information architecture this can be setup by admins of the pilot sites
    • When this item is ticked, people who click on Posts’ categories, will be redirected to listing pages of the categories, instead of issue pages. See .gif below.

Bug fixes 👾
