It’s moving day for a lot of Settings! No worries, they’re all going to more logical places, so it’s easier to find it all. There’s also a smooth update to the Submenu Block, Sitemap logic updates and a couple of Bug Fixes to top it off. Here we go!

Features  🛠

PLANET-7209 – Move Reading Time option to Reading settings

  • The options regarding the Reading Time have moved! They’re now located under … well, the reading settings. Makes more sense, don’t you think? Find it at Dashboard > Settings > Reading

PLANET-7177 – Move Default P4 Post Type setting under Settings > Writing

PLANET-6677 – Move Comments option to Discussion settings

  • And even more movements! The opt-in checkbox for comments can now be found in Dashboard > Settings > Discussion. Don’t forget that opt-ins are strongly recommended in Europe, due to GDPR regulations.

PLANET-7215 – Apply the new design for the Submenu block

  • A smooth new look for the Submenu block, to make it more aligned with the current IA and other visual design improvements that have been happening all over P4. Looks super clean now 😎

PLANET-6793 – Sitemap page for new IA: display pages following native taxonomies

  • The Sitemap logic has been updated to just display Categories and Pages.
  • Please note that this is enabled only when Feature Flag is active: Planet 4 > Navigation > New Information Architecture

PLANET-7219 – Apply new identity link styles to Author page/block and 404 page

  • The new body link styles have been applied to Author Pages and the blocks, as well as on the 404 pages! All in line with other Design improvements from the past months.

Bug Fixes 🐞

PLANET-7222 – Donate button dropdown goes off screen in small desktop sizes

  • And now it stays on screen!

PLANET-7217 – Home page carousel header banner flickers when you swipe

  • And now it no longer flickers!

PLANET-6855 – Covers block thumbnails are lower resolution than they should

  • And now they’re back to high resolution!
