Bom dia! Another SPRINT has passed and we’re already approaching April. Time really does fly. In this update, there are several backend updates. These include a new “reading_time” dataLayer Variable for Posts, Page Header options moving away from the sidebar, bug fixes and more. Let’s see:
Features 🛠
PLANET-7426 – Create Reading_Time dataLayer Variable for Posts
- In order to tell whether a reader has read a post, a new dataLayer Variable has been added for “reading_time”. This is a new metric called Active Monthly Readers for Posts.
- Displaying the Reading Time itself on Posts is still optional. This is just a dataLayer Variable for “reading_time”, regardless if it is displayed or not.
PLANET-7413 – Redirect Import button to Media Archive
- The “Import” button now redirects to the new Greenpeace Media Archive.
PLANET-7348 – Migrate Page Header options to Page Header block pattern
- Part of the new IA was the beautiful new Page Header Block Pattern. To minimize similar functionality options appearing in both the sidebar and the Block Pattern itself, some options have been phased out from the sidebar. Making it cleaner and more consistent with Pages.

- And now they work!
PLANET-7443 – ElasticPress exclude from search button not working as expected
