With the current release, the icon indicating external links is back on P4. The team also made sure the social footer is perfectly aligned, no matter how many social icons one site might have. We also enabled the Gutenberg editor for the Campaigns content as well and is in testing for the moment, but also did some other improvements to this new section.

Design and UX Improvements 🎩

  • PLANET-3852 – Add external link icon next to links in text
    • External links in P4 are indicated by a suffix icon that show the user he/she will be taken outside P4.
  • PLANET-4139 – Alignment of social media icons in all footers
    • If we had less than five icons in any footer then the alignment was not perfect. The design team provided the design of how it should look like when having a menu with less than 5 items for both regular and minimal footer and that was implemented by the development team.

P4 Campaign Generator (P4CG) ✊

  • PLANET-4131 – CPP – Enable Gutenberg editor on Campaigns content type
    •  The Gutenberg editor has been enabled on Campaigns content type too on the/campaigns/ instance and is now in testing.
  • PLANET-4050 – Campaigner capabilities assignment refactoring
    • Campaign capabilities assignments needed to be refactored.
  • PLANET-4061 – Campaign Page: Accessibility of Climate Emergency theme
    • The Footer and button elements have insufficient color contrast. To fix this, the footer color has been updated to #1b4a1b and the CTA button was checked to pass accessibility.
  • PLANET-4082 – CPP – Incorrect and inconsistent counter numbers
    • On the Climate Emergency campaign page we had seen some incorrect and inconsistent counter numbers. The correct number is pulled from a JSON file.
    • This counter was embedded in two different places on the Climate Emergency page and we have the same page on staging and production too. The staging site was showing the correct numbers, the production site was showing incorrect numbers: one was higher, one was lower than the actual number in the JSON.
    • This issue was fixed and now both counters show the same number.

Generic improvements 🌏

  • PLANET-4112 – Add GP Peru site to global navigation
    • Peru has recently launched and we added their site to the global navigation and to the list of countries of the landing page
